PACKET TRACER

                                              PACKET TRACER
It is a learning tool and interactive simulation networks. This tool allows you to create network topologies, simulating a network with multiple visual representations, it is primarily a tool for teaching support also allows students to network with an almost unlimited number of devices and experience troubleshooting without buying routers or actual switches.
FEATURES:
- Support for Windows (2000, XP, Vista) and Linux (Ubuntu and Fedora).
- Enables multiuser, collaborative real-time settings.
- IPv6 support, multi-area OSPF, route redistribution, RSTP, SSH and multilayer Switchs.

Star topology:
The star network topology is a network in which stations are connected directly to a central point, usually with centralized control, as a wiring concentrator. All stations are connected to the central point and signals are distributed to all specific hub stations.

Tree Topology:
Tree topology network is in which the nodes are arranged in a tree. From a topology view, the connection tree is similar to a series of interconnected networks star except that no central node.
This network structure is used in cable television applications, which could be based on future structures of networks to reach homes.

Mesh topology:
This type of topology is characteristic of WAN in which each device has a point to point link with any device on the network.

Bus Topology:
A bus topology is multipoint. Has a central wire which acts as a backbone to connect all devices on the network.

Ring topology:
Network topology in which each node is connected to the next and the last is connected to the first and thus create the ring.
